podcast Description

Welcome back to another wonderful episode! Our guest today is Hobbs Margaret. Hobbs is the owner of Fire and Salt Ranch, a ranching company based out of east Texas. A big part of their mission is to provide the best quality beef by implementing high density grazing (HDG) practices (Mimicking the grazing practices of bison, and other large mammals hundreds of years ago.) More importantly, Hobbs mission is to also engage with his customers/potential customers by using social media as a way to educate and answer questions. Hobbs shares with us the why's behind HDG and the benefits its has to not only the animals, but also to the soil/forage, and ultimately you, the customer. Hobbs dives into the long term negative impacts feed lots have had on not only the animals, but also the surrounding towns (waste water run off), the surrounding animals, and you, the consumer. He then draws on the parallels of feed lots and large cities, his take on what this realm is, the specific type of bulls and cows he ranches, and the inevitable collapse. Hobbs is wealth of knowledge, and I can assure you that you're not going to want to miss this.
